A historically correct knitting pattern for knitting a fisherman’s jumper like they were worn in Moddergat.
This pattern originates from the (probably) last tradionally knitted jumper from Moddergat.
According to tradition, Sjoukje knitted the jumper in 1972 for Museum 't Fiskershúske in Moddergat. Noticable is the special God's Eye motif that is repeated along a band in the middle. The vertical lines consist out of a cable and rib design.
Approximatly 800/900 gram moderately thick knitting yearn is needed for one jumper (needle size 3.0 and 3.5).
