A historically correct knitting pattern for knitting a fisherman’s jumper based on the jumper worn by Jacob Akkerman.
This knitting pattern is based on a fisherman’s jumper worn by Jacob Akkerman (1866 - 1921). Jacob was a descendant from an old fishing family from Wierum in Friesland. He was photographed while he was on a fishing trip. The photo currently hangs in the home of Jacob’s grandson.
For one jumper is approximatly 800/900 gram moderately thick knitting yearn needed (needle size 3.0 and 3.5).
